Progress

Gypsum has arrived, all 100 sheets of it. Probably 50-60 Lbs per 2-sheets, Ashleah and I moved it all into the garage.

The beginnings of the main home wiring panel. When complete the entire house will be done with full HD capable coax and phone and internet jacks everywhere, professionally trimmed out of course.

Example of the back bedroom, being as this one was close to the panel, and it won't be a babies room immediately and a computer room instead, it got two 2x2's in different locations.

The new plumbing is almost done, replaced the schedule 80 PVC and horrible job on it with copper and brazed it in, running a new water line for the new sink. Have to add a few can light fixtures to the living room and were done. Drywall should be going up this Saturday and tape and mud can begin Monday hopefully.

The previous owner was a bit of a shnook to say the least. Ripping out the very poorly located and poorly run wire from the attics and walls was bad enough, there were plenty of places they had just knocked a hole in the drywall and ran wires. The roof was a rats nest of wires, some dating back to the home's inception (antannae wires across the house).
With the exception of the last living room can light circuit I'll have to make into a special 3-way setup the wiring is completed once the cans go in. SO much easier with the walls open.

Insulation is prepped and ready to get squished in with the rock. the exterior walls will be R-26, and I'll be insulating all the interior walls simply because I can... and it will help with noise reduction as well.

Thanks to connections and help from friends and associates, my budget is right on track, completely new electrical when the house is complete, from a new 200A panel, to all neutrals and grounds run, brand new GFCI's inside and out where code dictates and in some places where it does not. new fixtures, all decora style everywhere, including outlets.
My biggest problem/quandry.... do I adhere to wierd city codes from California and install all of the outlets upside down (ground connections upwards) or traditionally like smiley faces....
